I know that as spring rolls around I have been working my tail off to get leaner abs. Not only do leaner abs look great they help you feel great as well!

This also helps me in my dance routines because the healthier and more active you are, the better you dance! That’s a fact! (joking joking..not sure if it is)

Any who… The Mane source had a great article pertaining to four tips for a flatter tummy. And trust me… these tips are doable!

  • DRINK MORE WATER. Drinking water flushes out your system and helps prep your body for the changes you’re going to make as a result of changing your diet and exercising. Say no to sodas, and other artificially flavored juice drink that contain loads of sugar.
  • EAT MORE GOOD CARBS. Donuts, cookies, white rice…these are all badcarbs. Once you’ve eaten them, they turn into sugars which make you gain weight….especially in your midsection.  Trade in those bad carbs for good ones. Fruits, veggies, and grains are good carbs and when eaten regularly, help you lose the pooch.
  • GET MOVING! I don’t care how much water you drink or how many good carbs you eat, you’ve still go work to do! Engaging in regular exercise will not only help you lose weight overall, but blast the fat that you’ve accumulate in your mid-section. Exercise should include both cardio (which includes crunches and situps)and weight training .
  • STOP STRESSING. Most people don’t know that stress and spare tires go hand and hand. Stress increases a hormone called cortisol. Cortisol it said to increase abdominal fat.
