“Nothing, is what it appears to be, when it's only with your eyes you see.”

It seems like it was just yesterday when we bought those versace shades and high waisted bikinis for the beach. Unfortunately, summer is slowly coming to an end and our hair regimen has to be altered for the Fall.

But before you start piling those products into a crate for storage, take a look at three hair habits that you can still use in the Fall that worked wonders in the Summer.

1. Condition, Condition, Condition
We use a lot of conditioner in  the summer in order to have our curls pop and not have to depend on a strong hold gel. however, as Fall approaches we can still use those same conditioners to ensure that our hair is still properly deep conditioned! Fall is the gateway for colder climate transitions, so we want to make sure our hair is properly prepared and the moisture is retained. Conditioners are definitely keepers!

2. Keep your hair short!
Most Women in the summer tend to have a short hair look. Just the thought of your curly coils hitting your back makes you feel stick so you end up putting it in a bun. You can keep that bun right where it is because tucked ends in the Fall can help to retain length as well so that your hair ends are not rubbing up against your favorite sweater.

3. Wash your hair often
We tend to sweat more in the summer via intense runs outdoors or just laying out on the beach with our hair laid out on a towel. Because of the buildup of sebum we can be more inclined to washing our hair more frequently to get rid of dirty or sweat. As Fall approaches we can still continue to wash our hair even two or three times a week. A common misconception is that kinkier hair shouldn't be washed often because it will be stripped of oils. Though this would be true if we are constantly washing with sulfates, it doesn't stand true if you choose to wash with a sulfate free shampoo or washing with a conditioner. In fact our hair loves water and the more water you apply to hair the happier it will be as water is the only TRUE moisturizer!

3 Tips for Transitioning Hair From Summer to Fall

Free Hair products This month:

Influenster has done it again! Influenster sent me box that included the best combination har system for African American Hair/ Ethnic Hair to review.

This magical hair system was created by 11 Black Ph.D scientist who conducted two 25 hour research sessions which tested the products on clients and hairstylist.
*clap clap clap*
Well sisters, the research has paid off because this is by far the best system I have ever experienced at a drug store level.

Pantene Gold Series

Though this is not a full indepth review of the product I would love to share some of my rants and raves about the three piece system I was sent.
The entire Pantene collection contains 7 items however I was just sent three of the 7 items to try. I will most definitely be scanning the internet for the remaining three because the products were just that great!

My influenster box included:
Pantene Pro V Gold series Moisturizing Shampoo
Pantene Pro V Gold series Moisture Boost Conditioner
Pantene Pro V Gold series Hydrating Butter Creme

All of the products worked amazingly together and made my wash day a breeze. I wasn't really a fan of the shampoo but after using the moisture boost conditioner, the shampoo was no longer a factor for me. The shampoo was quite drying and didn't really have the wow factor. The Pantene Pro V Gold series Moisture boost conditioner provided AWESOME slip for detangling and and left my curls so shiny and soft.

After I shampooed and washed out the conditioner I proceeded to use the Pantene Pro V Gold Series Hydrating Butter Creme and that provided a really nice hold and I felt completely in love! I usually stick to light weight leave ins because my hair has a tough time handling anything else, but this thick moisture rich creme is definitely an outlier and I will most certainly purchase it when I run out!
